This one isn’t about my roommate, but I swear it happened because I was there. We were at my buddy Ted’s house in summer of ‘08. His roommate David came home from a party pretty blasted and stumbling around. He then went upstairs. A few minutes later he came down and wasn’t wearing and pants or boxers. He sat down/fell on the wood chair by the couch where I was sitting and then screamed as he fell to the floor. He had sat on his testicles. He lay there moaning for awhile. He went to the doctor the next day and had to wear some kind of gel cushioned pad between his legs for a few weeks. Moral=don’t sit on your nuts. roommateFAIL

Freshman year, my roommate kept getting drunk and peeing on things in the room- always his own stuff (shoes, bed, desk chair, etc.). But he always cleaned it up well and apologized like crazy when it happened. One night, he came back late and peed on my floor lamp when I was sleeping. The next day, I went to Kinkos and printed flyers that said “stop peeing in our room” over a picture of his face and put them up around our dorm. He pretty much stopped drinking after that, and transferred to a different school a month or so later. RF problem solved!

My roommate was obsessing over his ex-girlfriend one night. She had left him for a Mexican guy who apparently could take tequila shots better than anyone. Already a little drunk, my roommate boasted that he could take tequila shots just as well. And proceeded to get alcohol poisoning. And I had to drive him to the hospital. This was the night before one of my interviews for med school. RF
